Amaker would be a good hire in many respects.

Let's see what VCE and DFW Hoya say. I'm curious.

And it's no nay never
No nay never no more
Will I play the alum giver
No never no more

gee Bill, I wonder how VCE really feels on the situation.

That's the thing about this situation. It's one thing to get rid of Ewing. It's much like DePaul sadly in that do you trust them to find a decent replacement???

Ah, yes. The Wild Rover. Dropkick Murphys offer a strong rendition of the song.

I brought from me pocket 10 sovereigns bright
And the landlady's eyes opened wide with delight
She said: "I have whiskeys and wines of the best,
And the words that you told me were only in jest"

I actually think Tony Stubblefield is a solid hire for DePaul. But I get your point, S20.

lol, was meaning DePaul before him. He has been a very solid hire for them. Bit of a disappointment losing the last 2 Saturday games for them, but I think they'll grow. They finally seem like they're on the right path.

It’s been rumored for a few months and Zach Braziller (sp?) of the NY Post mentioned it a week or so ago.

If true, I probably won’t ever give another dime to the university until the entire administration is replaced with new blood. And now I need to redo my will.

Great news today. We may retain a guy who is clearly incompetent on most levels by “asking” him to redo his staff. This program is a joke.

Someone made money off of ‘We are Georgetown’ shirts. I’m thinking about substituting “were” in there.

The admin is clueless in many matters broad and wide, but in particular their inability to connect with alums. For most of us, the point of contact is our undergrad school, or a sport we played, or most importantly, the men’s basketball program. GU sends me 4-6 fundraising letters a year, another 5-10 fundraising calls (more if we include the home phone plus mobile), and 2-3 Georgetown magazines a year.

They know my permanent address despite that not changing over the past 20 years.

The university and its lifelong employees, many of whom I’ve engaged with in different mediums (media?), are so insular and so antithetical to what I learned in my days; a commitment to excellence and accountability. It doesn’t feel the same.

Still think both sides separate after the season. Ewing and Georgetown need the end to conclude amicably for both sides. Both parties have done as much up until this point. I'd imagine both want to finish out the season as well.

Hope the guy from LSU can help recruiting and retention of players.

The league has gotten MUCH tougher with the other coaching moves. Huge upgrades at Xavier and Butler. And maybe an upgrade at Seton Hall even. And of course year 2 for DePaul and Marquette.
