OT but related to SBC future softball.

I’m watching Marshall SB vs St Joes right now. It’s at Georgia tech and is on ACC network extra.

With power five resources, GT has a single camera behind the plate. No commentary, no balls and strikes count or outs on their digital scoreboard. Only the current score and top or bottom half of what inning it is.

This is something I’d expect from the bottom of D1 or even D2 and below.

Pitching will be there with Humphrey, but we lost too much at the plate. Will need some bats to step up huge and surprise out of nowhere.

But teams better get us this year, because our recruiting has stepped up a ton since the WCWS run. We will be loaded in the coming years.

Does JMU still have the pipeline to the Bandits. I know when Mickey was there he was getting some legit players because him and the head of the Bandits were tight.

I don't think so. Seems like we are getting players from all different places now, but as far as i can tell, that pipeline isn't there anymore

Herd wins, 8-0, in a run-rule game. 5 different players homered, and NC State transfer Sydney Nester (junior) dominated in the circle with 13 K's in 6 IP. Marshall had the offense last year to compete, but lacked elite pitching, so bringing in pitching was a focus this offseason for the Herd.
