RE: 2022 Baseball
Also according to D1Baseball, pitching coach and recruiting coordinator Kevin Cobb was named one of the 75 Assistants Athletic Directors Should Know.

Cobb was also listed by Mike Rooney as one of the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Assistants We Would Hire.

Kevin Cobb, Northeastern

Cobb enters his 10th season with the Huskies in 2022. Northeastern won CAA regular season championships in 2017, 2018, and 2021. Note to self: how is a program in Boston, Mass., consistently winning what is absolutely a southern conference? Cobb’s work with the Northeastern pitching staff has been a signature strength of the program.

RE: 2022 Baseball
Finally from New England Baseball Journal. With Fall Baseball about to start here’s what a scout said about some of the top college prospects...

Northeast Scout Shares College Prospect List For Fall Ball

Jordy Allard

RHP, Northeastern
Hometown: Woodstock, Vt.
Bats: Right | Throws: Right
Height: 5-9 | Weight: 190
Draft eligible: 2023

“He’s a guy who turned heads last spring. He’s a little older, but after the summer he had on the Cape, he’ll be looked at to anchor that bullpen. He may have the best split-finger pitch in the entire country.”

Wyatt Scotti

RHP, Northeastern
Hometown: Barnstable, Mass.
Bats: Right | Throws: Right
Height: 6-3 | Weight: 185
Draft eligible: 2023

“Northeastern lost some pitching depth with Sebastian Keane and Cam Schlittler, but Scotti is back after being their top starter in the spring. I don’t know how they’ll line up the rotation this year — maybe Scotti, Eric Yost and Brett Dunham, who had a good year in the Futures League.”

Mike Sirota

CF, Northeastern
Hometown: Broad Channel, N.Y.
Bats: Right | Throws: Right
Height: 6-2 | Weight: 180
Draft eligible: 2024

“He’s looking like a Day 1 selection in 2024. He got off to a great start in the spring before dealing with some injuries. He had a great summer on the Cape.”

Eric Yost

RHP, Northeastern
Hometown: Ossining, N.Y.
Bats: Right | Throws: Right
Height: 6-2 | Weight: 200
Draft eligible: 2023

“He really jumped out last year and carved out a spot in the rotation heading into the fall. I would think he and Scotti are the two locks. Northeastern is a team that doesn’t really rebuild, they reload and get talented players from the Northeast.”
