Remember how much CBS, et al, bitched about George Mason getting the at-large bid? They did the same thing when VCU got the at-large bid in their final four run.

It still sticks in my crawl that we let George Washington come back and win that NCAA game. We would have played Duke next and I really think we would have matched up very well against them.

Not a 'Best Trask Moment', but you have to take the bitter with the sweet....

My buddy Aaron yelled at Capel's nephew concerning his less then gentlman-like behavior as it concerned Ms. Amber Bryant in the weeks/days leading up to the game. Coach Jeff Capel took immediate exception to the heckling and came over and took a close-fisted swing at my buddy Aaron. Security pulled Capel away after he missed (misses that game ran in the family). The refs never saw it, and thus no action was taken. One can only imagine how that could affect a coach's job these days.

What a fun and fantastic moment as a student though. It was the home VCU game in 2006.
When I used to sit behind the cheerleaders by the door the opposing team comes in we all used to hang over the railings and taunt them as they came in or out. I can't repeat many of the things that were said! haha We had Fake donuts and were waiving them in the Face of Mason's Jai Lewis one game COGS

This George Mason game with the Jai Lewis taunting I believe was a SGA T-Shirt giveaway game. T-shirt giveaway games are always hype

I was at that game. Yep, it was bad.

Bad commercials on the big board definitely don’t make my list

Maybe you’re right. We should have all the fans to include the student section sit down, remain quiet, and not overly excite the players.

There’s definitely no correlation to fan excitement and raucous noise with a home court advantage. Everyone knows that.

None of my best memories in life include people who use the word "boorish".

If you can’t be your best, rowdy self as a college student at a basketball game…when else can you be that way?

Best Moments at Trask
Students should have a suit and tie dress code to enter the game.

Shouldn’t play music either. Might encourage boorish behavior amongst the youngsters.

Are there any other games yall can think of where we not only overcame the other team, but the refs as well?

That's a big reason why last night was so satisfying

I didn’t like it. They need to get control of the game and not let it get testy and chippy. Basketball players prefer it that way too, both sides.

You could almost argue the way they called that game created the angst, testy and chippy. The players were clearly playing with a lot of frustration on both sides knowing that nearly every possession was going to earn a whistle.

I agree. When you can't play a possession without a whistle players are going to get frustrated.

Ignoring a blatant election didn't help either
