I just don't understand this schedule. Buffalo hasn't play in eight days.. CMU has played three games in that time. Despite being on a covid pause, CMU is also playing their third straight home game, while the Bulls have yet to even play two at home all year.
I am not saying it biased, I just don't think the league is doing a very good job. There is no reason that UB and Akron needed to be shoehorned in on Jan. 1 and then both teams sat at home on Tuesday,
The MAC needs to be better!!

I’m guessing it was because they wanted to open dates up later in the season if needed for more flexibility around other potential postponements. In this case it wasn’t needed, but hindsight is always 20/20. I personally prefer the proactive approach to get the games in when teams were open, I understand how others might not share that view.

Fat finger. Meant to hit the - not the + haha. Whoops. Thanks for pointing out the error.

That MAC doesn't need to do better. They are doing the best they can with covid and rescheduling games. The only reason CMU had 3 home games in a row was because of COVID. The only reason Buffalo didn't play for a week was because of COVID. This isn't come crazy conspiracy against UB.

I don't understand why UB didn't add a non-conf game during this stretch. They cancelled the UC Irvine game due to covid regs and could play another non conf. With their schedule another good non-conf win could edge them toward NIT consideration. Lots of schools in the region with similar cancellations. Why not play a George Mason, VCU, Boston College, Iona, etc... team that is trying to make post season play? Loyola and San Fran did this in December and it was a win win for NET and a quality win for Loyola.

Buffalo NET is 131. They won't come close to sniffing an NIT at large. You have to remember on average about 10 of the NIT bids go to regular season champions who fail to win their conference tournament. You probably need a NET in or around 80 to be in consideration for a NIT at-large when you play in the MAC.

Akron beat Miami 66-55
Ball State upset Toledo 93-83
With the Toledo loss Ohio slides into the 1st seed slot for the time being.

OHIO 77, Western Michigan 64. OHIO is now 19-3, the best start ever in OHIO men's basketball history!
Carter and Vander Plas both with a double-double.

WMU’s Lamar Norman Jr. went for 30 on 11/18 shooting. Man is a prolific scorer.
Kent topped Eastern 90-71. Was a 2 point game with about 10 minutes left before Kent pulled away for good. Santiago had 21 off the bench for Kent. Spottsville had 20 for EMU.
