For the bourbon fans, Im planning to open a bottle of Elmer T Lee when there is some good news.

Otherwise am going to go on a three-day no bourbon strike if the cusa3 don’t hear anything positive before 29-31 February.

Lot of moving parts. Lot of negotiations going on. This was pretty much all wrapped up a couple weeks ago but things changed a little when CUSA created a stink and made some threats. All that being said I think it will get worked out. We could hear something as soon as tonight or it could be a few weeks from now. We'll know soon enough. I haven't heard anything from my contacts saying that the move is unlikely now. I might know more later.

Very surprised to hear nothing today. For scheduling purposes and for ESPN we should be hearing something soon

With the bad blood some SBC teams have with a certain former member or two, you wonder if it wasn't them being vindictive....

I have seen a post or two by some of those Fans stating it would not be good for their School if Southern Miss left early. They have been Twits for as long as I can remember; why change now?

Our AD is still telling all of our coaches to expect a 14 team SBC next year. I think we can assume it isn t done yet but negotiations continue.

Have not heard anything new this week. Our AD backed off some last week on his view that it was certain we would have 14 on July 1.

At this point, I'm convinced we'll officially announce the day before SBC releases schedules just in hopes we screw with CUSA releasing theirs.

I know that ain't likely since CUSA usually releases theirs in January but that's the new theory I'm sticking with

If it does not happen July 1 I see no reason it can t happen on Jan 1 2023 as that meets the 14 month notification deal
