Mostly agree but Marshall should be above UTSA. As bad as Marshall is, UTSA is worse. Hell, UTSA lost to a D2 team.

Honestly, there's almost little to no separation between teams #4 through #11.

Yeah agreed that top three have parity but, albeit with my bias, I think UAB should be sitting as a #1 in any power ranking after beating UNT and LaTech on the road. If UAB loses the tourney, I hope it’ll be UNT or LaTech winning with UAB getting an at large.

Middle beat FAU. The game was never really close. MT should be above FAU.

I agree with both of you that there is a clear separation of the top three.

I have actually seen all three teams as at-large contenders on legit bracket projections.

However, whoever comes out on top in the East will also have a legit shot at the tourney title. They will get a bye to the quarters, then play a non-top three team in that round. Then they could face the west third seed. While that team may be “better”, it would be their third game (vs second for the East winner). Whoever emerges from the East will have a structural advantage that gives them a realistic chance at winning the event. And if we agree on that list then there are still 6 teams with a chance at the 1-seed in the East.

The teams making claims on moving ahead of teams they beat, it's always a good discussion.

Y'all have points, but take this thought into consideration. It doesn't always tell the whole story. The margins in the middle are razor thin, so I have placed A LOT of emphasis on recent play and road wins. Now, could I have placed MTSU at #4 and Charlotte at #6? Yes...but then the FAU and UTEP fans would have something to say as well. Honestly, the grouping in the middle is going to rapidly fluctuate from week to week.

FAU gets the #4 spot because they won three games this week. UTEP got the #6 because #7 Charlotte (who I had as #4 in week 10) lost two games this week.

I'm not an exact scientist when it comes to this, but this week is accomplishing what I had hoped from the start: barstool conversation.
