Is it true that there's a office for the Refs there too or is just where they can pick up the money.

The conference built its own offices ? That had to cost $millions, especially in a growing area. Real Estate is at a premium now, in Dallas, I'm sure.
I assumed the conference just rented office space.
A lot of corporations are taking a beating right now, paying for office space (under a long-term lease) while employees are working from home. Money basically thrown out the window.

He said built, it might've been leased and remodeled.

If they built their own buildings, I hope that they put up a curtain between offices.

A UNA fan said the following "Rumor has it that EKU and UNA were both invited to C-USA at the same time as Liberty and JSU. It seems both declined the invite because they are looking at the Sun Belt in a couple of years." Do you all think that this is true? Thoughts

No. Dallas, TX has the 3rd largest concentration of corporate headquarters in the nation. Irving, TX (adjacent to Dallas and where the current office is located) is #14 nationally. If you want conference officials to rub elbows with corporate HQ execs for advertising $, sponsorships, etc while also keeping expenses minimal, it is extremely helpful if those potential customers are also your neighbors.

Oh, has that helped us? I’ve missed our sponsorship deals I guess.

It looks like graffiti, but it's actually a projected metal-plated image of a Cypress tree coming away from the stone sign and the shadow casted behind it.
The building is co-owned by Nokia and the construction group, Tamko. Nokia has several office buildings around there off of Olympus and Cypress Waters that they rent out office space for. Alot of businesses do that.

The Sunbelt would never add UNA with Troy and South Alabama in that conference. Conference USA has also not extended invitations to Eastern Kentucky and North Alabama, and I can assure you that neither were higher on their list than New Mexico State and Sam Houston.

I agree, there are so many better options than UNA.
FCS teams budgets:
KSU $28.6 million ($5.4M) – ASUN/Big South Football Champ/FCS Playoffs
Jax State $16 million ($5.1M) – ASUN/CUSA 2023
EKU $16 million ($4.2M) - ASUN
UCA $13.6 million ($3.1M) - ASUN
UNA $11.3 million ($2.75M) - ASUN/D2 Transition Year 4
UNA does not even have the budget

The Western Athletic Conference headquarters, which I have visited many years ago, has been located in the same 3rd floor office space in suburban Denver since the early to mid-1980's when CSU-Fort Collins and Air Force as well as Wyoming, BYU, and Utah were all part of the WAC. Now look at the WAC. Half their league will be in eastern Texas. Others on the Pacific Coast and the Southwest. Utah Valley in Orem, Utah may be the closest member to Denver.
Is that a problem for them, you reckon?
If the WAC moved its office every time their geography changed, how many offices would they have had since your visit? Like 6? Or 7? Think they'd have a bigger tv deal or more bowl games if they'd done that? Or kept any of the 87 teams that have left?
I never said it was. Why is this such a big deal to you? Businesses move corporate headquarters all the time to meet their needs or goals. They have that right, you know? CUSA doesn't need to do that in my opinion, right now. See Post 3 of this topic. But like the ACC potential move to Charlotte, they have the right to move if they want to.
Of course they can move if they want to. I don't know that DFW is better than any other location.
But like you, I just don't see why they'd need to (and if they did, I don't know why they need to pick a tourist location).
Dallas is a tourist location to alot of people. So is Denver. So is New Orleans, Birmingham, Charlotte, and Cleveland. It depends on your flavor.
My favorite flavor is chocolate.
So if we *gotta* move it, I vote Hershey, PA.

Yes—Judy should have to sit in an open warehouse that just has curtains instead of walls.
