Quarterback Bert Emanuel Jr. (6-4, 205) of Missouri City (Texas) Ridge Point High School announced this evening via Twitter he's been offered a scholarship by Central Michigan.

Rated a 3-star recruit in the class of 2022, Emanuel is the son of former NFL wide receiver Bert Emanuel.

His other reported scholarship offers include Army West Point, Lamar, Abilene Christian and Texas Southern.

After reading a bit more about Bert Emanuel Jr. he looks like a very good get if he commits.

Very athletic and boy is he fast. I won't try to evaluate his accuracy or arm strength but they look fine, even with the short push motion. If MacElwain and Barbay are good with him he's a full go with me. He reminds me alot of Cam Newton in how he runs.
