CUSA's passive aggressive way of saying "stay until 2023, or else we're going to lay down the hammer."

Sounds like a threat but we'll see how big of cajones they have to do anything about it.

if CUSA had anything to stand on there'd be no reason to put out a statement.

They still will have 11 teams next year so it isn t like the conference will implode next year

CUSA brings out the verbal threats. If that doesn't work, she'll cruise by our Presidents' homes in her toy jeep looking menacing.

Rumors and reports have been available for weeks, and CUSA, like always, reacts at the last second/late.

Yeah that would permanently damage any working relationship between the three departing schools and the five remaining Conference USA schools. (I’m assuming the AAC schools don’t really care either way).

Assuming the SBC-3 want to still come next year it will happen

I mean you could counter threaten the CUSA by expressing some form of interest in Western Kentucky and middle Tennessee (basically threatening to kill their entire conference)
