Jealousy is a bad emotion. Nine schools are chosen and you aren't one of them.....ewwww. Lol!!!
I could care less if they leave. Since we have been in the same conference they have only brought the conference down. So they should go. But I guess there is this thing called contracts. If they can legally get out of them then they should go. If they can’t legally come to an agreement they might have to stay. But for me the sooner the better. Only because they clearly aren’t happy in CUSA.
What has LA Tech done while in CUSA. As bad as our football program was entering CUSA (Long before LA Tech arrived) we have still finished ranked 3 times, won a football and basketball title and as horrid as our baseball is, was in the title game 3 times. Our softball is always near the top, won 2 titles and finished ranked twice. OOO and Marshall, not Cincy, Louisville, TCU, Marquette or and anyone before us you want to think of has CUSA only National Championship.
But yet you don't care if Southern Miss, ODU or Marshall leave, because we drag the conference down. OK, enjoy New Mexico State (4 winning seasons in 40 years, All time recod 319-600-14), UTEP (7 winning seasons in 40 years, All time record 336-565-18), 2 new programs that don't have the support structure and the most scandal ridden place in years.
I don't think some of these people actually listen to what they say.
La Tech should be happy USM and ODU specifically are leaving as that's who has won 4 of the past 5 CUSA baseball tournaments (Rice in 2014, FIU in 2015, USM in 2016, Rice in 2017, USM in 2018 and 19, baseball cancelled in 2020, ODU in 2021) since La Tech joined CUSA in the 2014 baseball season.
Here is LT's baseball dominance the past 30 years in a nutshell:
- 2 NCAAs (2016, 2021)
- 0 Conference championships
- 0 Conferene Tournament championships
CUSA results
- 2014: last place (12th)
- 2015: last place (12th)
- 2016: 5th place
- 2017: 5th place
- 2018: 2nd place
- 2019: 3rd place
- 2020: COVID
- 2021: 1st place West, lost championship game (only year CUSA went to East/West divisions)..only championship game appearance for them
Overall Marshall has a 8-12 record in the CUSA tournament while LT has a 8-10 record. 7 of La Tech's 8 C-USA tournament wins came in 2016 (3, eliminated in game 2 on Saturday) and 2021 (4). Pretty sure La Tech might have a chance to get a baseball championship with us 3 leaving soon.

Are you sure? Judy might be crafting her response to the online petition filed by one of the remaining members. These responses can be awfully hurtful, I'm told

It's only one year. If it gets too contentious just stay in CUSA. The last thing we want is to exit to SB in 2023, still fighting a lawsuit with CUSA in 2025 -

Do you think they'll still vote to expand tomorrow and hold of on naming the expansion teams?

Y'all are just splitting the cost to get her a 2022 Jeep Gladiator but since new cars are in major backorder, it's taking a little longer to get it with all the features she wants.

So an 18 volt instead of a 12 volt?

I have been offered no reason to change that expectation...

I got my Yeti cup ready.. I think I'll have to collect tears from several fans over there.
Anyways now that I got that off my chest. If the vote goes the way we think, can we vote to move our boards over here or what's the procedure for us to move our stuff from CUSA to SBC?

If this gets done yes your boards will move and we can discuss timing with GTS. This might already be on GTS’ radar but we can ping him with a request to move them too. Football mostly drives the bus with everything so most of the time we go ahead and move it - we don’t necessarily wait until the spring sports are finished.

Boards move whenever a school officially enters a league. So July 1. JMU got an exception because they asked

JMU is independent of CUSA. They are just being nice and waiting until the CUSA schools to announce
