Final Miami-O 61 NIU 56.

Up 5 at half and had a lead going into 4th qtr. Reminder this team was picked to finish among the league leaders. Scored 7 points in final 5 minutes.

Well our run in gun offense has scored 52 and 56 points in the last 2 games (way to many turnovers). That Miami team is just a shell of what they were under the previous coach who is now at Marquette University. Like I said in my previous post wait till Koker and Davis graduate and this program will rival Monty’s after German left. Maybe the program can pick up some transfers and avert what’s coming. I don’t think Carlsen lacks the basketball IQ or experience it just comes down to recruiting or lack there of . Assistant head coach Adam Tandez is the head recruiter and obviously he is not doing the job. Like I said before I enjoy WBB but not what Carlsen and company is giving us.

I don't know the inner-workings of the NIU WBB team except what I read on this board, but I never seen an assistant coach get more blame for the team woes than Adam Tandez. He may truly be the weak link of the program, but if Coach Carlsen keeps him on the coaching staff with the same responsibilities, the problem is not Adam Tandez.

I don't know the inner-workings of the NIU WBB team except what I read on this board, but I never seen an assistant coach get more blame for the team woes than Adam Tandez. He may truly be the weak link of the program, but if Coach Carlsen keeps him on the coaching staff with the same responsibilities, the problem is not Adam Tandez.

No doubt as head coach Lisa Carlsen is ultimately responsible for the entire program and should be held accountable as well. If STF decides to make a change when her contract is up no doubt they will all go down with the ship.

Just a quick FYI…in their last 20 games WBB is 5-15 overall and 2-10 in MAC play in head coach Lisa Carlsen’s 7th season. The program needs to turn things around——and fast.
