For the record I can’t be there because I live 3 hours away and work until 7pm.

You better get disappointed now then if that’s your standard. We can eventually reach those numbers on a Saturday if we keep winning in a couple of years maybe or if we host a P5 but my guess is the only times we have ever hit that number are the UNC game and the Steph Curry game after his tournament magic.

I am glad to hear Byington is doing well at JMU. His teams here at GS were always fun to watch and could put up points. The knock on him here is his teams were generally not great defensively and had a hard time winning the big games. That said I wish he were still here as we are pretty bad since he left

Since moving to the HCC we've had over 5,000 fans just 7 times with the most recent being 2010. We've had only one more crowd over 4,000.
Having three crowds over 3,000 with a high of 3,401 this year is a major improvement. I'm hoping we could get 4,000 at some point this season.
The largest crowd was 8,350 for Davidson in 2009.

Who did we pull over 4,000 against since 2010 and who did we pull 5,000 against in 2010?

We had 5,075 for WCU in 2010. The game with 4,055 was in 2007 against Elon.

Were we giving away free moonshine for the western game lol. I started school in 2011 and we never had anything remotely close to that. Granted, Capel is mostly to blame.

I'd rather set lofty goals and strive to reach them than set low standards and say "we'll never do better".

I don’t hate that mentality at all.
