UTSA was tapped for football and for their potential. I hope more attention will be paid to their basketball program because it is in an embarrassing state.

Us UTSA fans that follow basketball know that the program is in desperate need of help. Whether its a new coach, better facilities or better players, we know that something must be done. The program looked like it was heading in the right direction after the current coach won 20 games in his second season (2017-18), but it has been a slow decline ever since. The program should get an immediate boost after our new basketball/volleyball practice facility gets built, but we also know thats going to take time. It will be interesting to see if the coach is gone after this season. The fact that players are leaving the program for unknown reasons doesnt help him at all. Hopefully we take a step in the right direction by the time we start playing in the American.

You just have to hope that UAB/UNT stay around where they are and Rice/Charlotte continue to improve. UTSA may be a lost cause for a while.
