CUSA: Uhhhhhhh.... nuttin'. It doesn't say anything Your Honor.

Judge: But these three fine institutions in good faith offered CUSA a monetary compensation that was reasonable? Even though nothing in their contract stated they owed anything extra?

CUSA: They did Your Honor.

Judge: You never responded regarding the compensation offered? You just ignored it?

CUSA: Yes Your Honor we did... can we get some of their money now though?

Judge: Looks to me like you had your chance in January and February.

Does it really say nuttin'? I'd honestly love to read the C-USA bylaws to see what's actually in there.

Officially I know a few months ago the ADs were looking at the bylaws and trying to understand what happens if you don't give a 14 month notice.

Unconfirmed scuttlebutt is that a monetary amount wasn't clearly defined. I think the language I saw thrown around was a monetary fine would be owed, but the amount wasn't defined.

If that is true what we find ourselves in is a conundrum. While CUSA has every right to refuse any offer given, if they've truly went radio silent without a so much as a laugh from the offers, they themselves are not negotiating in good faith and coming after the 3 if they up and leave this season really doesn't entitle them to anything.

I'm sure there's a ton happening that few people are privy to and we'll never know.
