Congrats App and good luck until we face again in few weeks.

Was a crazy last 10 minutes. Y’all go on a 14-2 run. Hit a 3, maybe a 2, nobody knows for sure. Y’all steal an inbounds pass and take the lead. We steal an inbounds pass and retake the lead. Justin Forrest hits an improbable turn around jumper. Still wasn’t over as your guy hits the back rim from 75’. Wild finish.
About that supposed three. I’ve never seen where a ref uses the espn feed to decide a three. Meanwhile, the announcers, who are now in front of said ref, are openly campaigning that it was a three. He had to hear what they were saying. There was a lot of Harry High School going on in that exchange. I know ESPN+ announcers aren’t going to be strictly impartial, but they’re not supposed to act like a hometown radio crew, either. And in this case, their campaigning could’ve decided the game.

The GSU announcers actually said "see he stepped back" to the refs while they were reviewing the ESPN feed. Then the announcers joked about being involved in a call for the first time. I've never seen/heard anything like it.

I do think it was the right call to let it stand since none of the angles gave a clear look.

We had 7 players. 3 players out, I assume, because of Covid protocols. One is Nikola Maric, who is likely all-conference and clearly our best player and big man. 3 others out for the season due to injuries. One is DeAntonio Gordon who is our second best player and only other decent big. Surprised we kept relatively competitive.

I feel for ya, but this season, we’ve all been there . . . and IF you haven’t yet . . .

Just wait, your turn’s probably coming. Welcome to the never ending pandemic!

Yeah that is rough and we played a similar ULM team too. Of course we our only loss to Troy was when were very short of players.

Found out that 2 of the 3 players I thought were out due to Covid, actually got injured at practice this week. All three probably would have started if healthy. Covid I understand. The rash of injuries, we had one player recently come back, I don't.

Just vomited after watching the halftime of the App/GS game. We’re going to sandpaper that Cali football head coach.

App up 8 at the half.

3-28 shooting. simply unreal. only stayed in the game because Coastal committed 20 turnovers and never figured out our full court press.

the good: Eliel Nsoseme is the man. 15 rebounds 19 points. Mostafa had no answer. Panthers collectively outrebounded and outscored Coastal in the paint, which is CCU's bread and butter.
the bad: GSU guards are in a middle of serious shooting slump. not sure mental or physical issue or both.
the ugly: 10% perimeter shooting is puzzling.

Norchad Omier beats Texas State with a little help 67-60. Omier had 21 points 13 rebounds and a slew of blocks

He’s going to win league player of the year running away at this point. Our first win over Texas State in 6 years

Yeah, I'm not sure what it'll take for me to get some confidence back in this team, so I can only imagine that the players are feeling the slump quite profoundly.

I guess we haven't beaten a D1 opponent since winning at High Point in November...?

Did you confuse Georgia Southern with Georgia State???

I don’t think anyone has ever described Eagle basketball as “mighty”.

I said he had a little help today.

Between him and Sills, we came within 17 points of matching Texas State's total.

Sills helped way more than a little. Without him today, we lose.

Sills had 20 and 2 steals I think. Not taking anything away from Omier but it wasn’t just him.
