About that supposed three. I’ve never seen where a ref uses the espn feed to decide a three. Meanwhile, the announcers, who are now in front of said ref, are openly campaigning that it was a three. He had to hear what they were saying. There was a lot of Harry High School going on in that exchange. I know ESPN+ announcers aren’t going to be strictly impartial, but they’re not supposed to act like a hometown radio crew, either. And in this case, their campaigning could’ve decided the game.

Getting the win at the Cajun Dome is always good. Especially when we don’t have to throw a tv monitor across the floor to get it.

And they bragged about securing the extra point, jokingly, but still? It was also a travel but live there was so much focus on his right foot that no one saw the left foot shuffle.

Not gonna dwell too much on the last shot. Sometimes lady luck is a cruel mistress.. found a way to lose from the jaw of victory. Glad it's only a game in January.

For the most part, it was an ugly game. Lack of chemistry from the hiatus was very telling on offense, especially on miscommunications via fumbled assists and funky turnovers. Absolutely clueless on anticipating moves within our own players. Cant leave easy buckets on the court when perimeter shooting is off for the night. Talent is meaningless when puzzles dont fit.

Nsoseme being back from a serious injury and immediately contributing 10+ rebounds was nice. He's acclimating to real game speed faster than I thought.

Last 10mins was decent, creating opportunities from amping up the defense and hustling for turnovers. Still a long ways to be a competitive team until the weekend in Pensacola.

TXST beats Little Rock

Troy beats ULM, 73-65. Trojans had 5 players out with minor injury or COVID... more so injury.

Troy now 13-5.

We had 7 players. 3 players out, I assume, because of Covid protocols. One is Nikola Maric, who is likely all-conference and clearly our best player and big man. 3 others out for the season due to injuries. One is DeAntonio Gordon who is our second best player and only other decent big. Surprised we kept relatively competitive.
