And on the road, too. And this one didn't have an iffy feel about it. Rushing, Betson and Bigi had huge games. Take heart, Cougar fans. Better days are ahead. The men are a little ahead of the women at this point. Good coaching is showing up for the men. Women's program is going to have to have some talent infusion before they can get things rolling, but they are showing signs of life. We'll get there.

This was an absolute must win. Lamar is hopeless this year and probably won't win any WAC games.

Great win Cougars! Kinda wish you were all staying in the WAC! If only you were not all the way up there in the Windy City.

Yep, the Texas schools who aren't interested in staying in the WAC promoted the departure of Chicago State, who is interested in staying. And who will the WAC replace any of them with when the Texas schools are gone?

Climbing to a perceived higher conference has become all-important, instead of stability and rivalries and logic.

Cougars did it with 7 players as well— missing three of their starters from the CBU win.

The big difference in this one compared to the UTRGV game is 6’10 Noah Bigirumwami was able to stay out of foul trouble! He got three fouls in about 2 minutes playing time in UTRGV which basically caused the Cougars to have a six man team on Thursday. Having him on the floor opened up their 3pt looks which they greatly took advantage of!
