Huge win over CBU!
How about those Cougars! First WAC win of the season. Give the game ball to Dominique Alexander. 10 points, 4 of 7 from the field, 2 of 5 from the arc, 4 rebounds, 4 assists against only one turnover, 3 steals.

We couldn't shoot for sour apples, but only FOUR turnovers. That is outstanding!

Yeah, the 4 turnovers is amazing no matter who you are playing or what defense they run. Miscues just happen, feet shuffle etc. What this says to me is they are running in sync.

This was a good win, as they had lost a bunch of games after injuries happened after their decent start. Now with Dibba on board, they are closer to full strength. If Dibba had been able to get cleared to enter the US for the beginning of the season, they'd likely have a couple more wins by now.

Attendance 102. That has to be discouraging to the kids, but I guess everyone is in about the same boat right now.

Awesome win today for the Cougars. Glad to see them finally play a game where their turnovers were limited. Heck, I’d be happy with 10.. but 4? That’s unreal.

Lots of credit to Coach Gillion, his staff, and this team. I think they’ll continue to get some wins throughout the year.

First year coach. Just imagine what he will get done with a little experience under his belt.

Interesting road swing next weekend. RGV, winner of 1 game since November 23, and Lamar who hasn't won a D1 game yet. Could the Cougars have back to back league road wins? Is it possible? If so, this would be one of their best chances in a while.

Then, at the end of the month, you'll get Dixie in Chicago.

Now Coach Sardin needs a strong recruiting season to get some talent to go with Aaliyah. Although she did have a terrible shooting day this weekend, and Mitchell and Booth had to carry the scoring. But she did hand out 9 assists.

We need to make a move now, if we are going to do it.

I just want to say congrats on the win. I’ve been following from a far and am glad to see y’all getting some wins. I like rooting for the little guy and your situation stinks. Hopefully you’ll string together some more wins. What’s the buzz been like on campus?

I like the Cougars chances in their games this week. I’m hopeful Rushin is back, even Mandeng is able to return. Haven’t heard the extent of his injury but he came down on his shoulder pretty hard it seemed.

Regarding the campus feel— from what I’ve seen it’s been pretty nonexistent. Ever since they lost several thousand students in enrollment, the on-campus population is pretty small. Hopefully some continuing wins will help bring some people to the JCC, and a stable president can help increase their enrollment

As a fan also of Little Rock, I can tell you that competing for fans in a non-college-town environment is difficult. In Arkansas, if you don't oink, you are a nobody (referring to the Razorbacks). They have a complete monopoly on the sports market in the state: no other major conference teams, no major league professional teams. Cubs/Sox, Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, plus whatever college teams are within the market - that is tough to compete against.

But, if we start winning, some of the students will get interested. Prior to Covid, UAPB in the southern part of the state (SWAC) drew really well for basketball, and they rarely won anything before conference play.

And if Aaliyah and Dibba are as good as it appears that they might be, they could garner some media attention even in a market as tough as Chi-town.
