Eastern Kentucky @ Bellarmine
I'm looking forward to this new little rivalry, and as I've stated before I have ties to both sides of it (though I'll be rooting for the Alma Mater wholeheartedly). Being a Louisville resident, I'm tentatively planning to attend with my Bellarmine alum dad, but I'm keeping an eye on the rising virus numbers, and I'm somewhat comforted by the game being in a very large venue that won't be anywhere near capacity for an ASUN Conference game.

Anyone else going or have any thoughts on Chapter 1 of the "Battle of the Human Mascots Wearing Some Varied Darkish Shade of Red"? (We'll work on the name).

Well they have COVID issues so Bellarmine's game tonight is postponed. Hopefully it will go off. I think we should take them unless we have one of those 4-30 nights from 3.

Yes, I'm looking forward to it and definitely hoping that said contest is not another one to get "'Rona'ed" (like BU's last two games).

That sucks.

BU has been bit by the injury/illness bug too -- definitely missing guys like Claycomb, Thelen, and Johnson.

It sounds like two of them (the two starters) will still be out for Saturday. They're both grad transfers who were starters at Marshall and NC State.

I hope the game is still going to be played. I've got my family committed to being there, all 13 of us.

Well, the Knights won't be at 100% for this (to use a Marty Brennaman-ism) titanic struggle:

Congrats to Bellarmine on the win. We dug too deep a hole to get back from.

Thanks! That was a game comeback attempt, making for a nerve-biter at the end.

Even when depleted, BU is tough when Pfriem is hot. Hopf is really contributing too.

Big win for Bellarmine. Preseason all ASUN and probably best player goes scoreless (0-7 FG) and has 9 turnovers and BU still wins. Impressive
