If I remember correctly, I believe the rule for FCS and FBS alike is that scholarship limits are still in effect except that players who were seniors in 2020 returning for a single bonus year didn't count against them. It was up to individual schools to decide whether or not to fund additional scholarships.

After this past season, limits on a per-team basis should be back to fully in force unless I misinterpreted something.

Only moving and shaking is the schools departing to Sun Belt from C-USA and James Madison from Colonial most likely as it relates to what impacts the league.

It isn't the 26th of January yet when Sun Belt presidents vote them in early. I fully expect them to leave. This tweet is nothing more than a passive display which suggests Conference USA will take some sort of action to the detriment of those three schools when they do leave early. We just don't know what that is exactly.

I think it goes back to what the contracts each school has and what the "by-laws" are.

Each AD has stated they were reviewing what it took and would do whatever made the best financial sense for their university.

But this isn't new. It's been out there for over a month, and the office makes a statement 6 days from a SBC meeting and vote. Either they haven't been paying attention or they have a different interpretation of everything.

Or the schools have notified them, it's all been agreed to, and the office is putting this out there to save face.

I don't know. I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
