the teams can't look ahead but we fans can, and i think the two games between Ohio and Toledo this year should be a lot of fun!

PS-someone needs to tell the color commentator on CBS Sports Network before next week's game that it's the Kent State Golden FlashES, not the Golden Flash! UGH! Drove me crazy!

Ohio did look good tonight as Ben Vander Plas, a three-point shooter, shot 6-9 on three’s against Kent State.in Ohio’s six prior games he shot a paltry 16.6 percent (4-24) on three’s.

Ohio did look good tonight as Ben Vander Plas, a three-point shooter, shot 6-9 on three’s against Kent State. Ohio was fortunate that he didn’t shoot but 16.6 percent (4-24) on three’s in Ohio’s six prior games.

He's a rise to the occasion player.

Vanderplas game rises the bigger the game. He carried us in the post season. His experience is huge. Matchup nightmare for the MAC to guard him. He is a stretch 4 with game a lot like Kevin Love. Great passer can also shoot and rebound. 5th year in program and very smart player.

Shumate and Milner are 2 similar players on the same team who will switch on and off him. Cant wait.

Offensively, Ohio doesn’t look like the powerhouse that averaged 76.6 ppg in MAC play last season. Preston, D.Wright, and McDay are big losses.

Man I wish I had a dollar for every post you make despairing Ohio’s basketball team. I could retire… even when they play well, you cherry pick stats from previous games. It’s become comical at this point. How did the bobcats hurt you? Haha

I hope Ohio fares better than they did last year in Savage. I think Toledo shot like 75% and ran the bobcats out of the gym. Looking forward to what are hopefully two entertaining games.

Dominant win by Toledo over NIU 94-63. All 5 Rocket starters ended up with between 11 and 16 points.

UT's last 5 games:

vs. Marshall - won by 32
vs. WMU - won by 27
@ Kent - lost by 3
@ CMU - won by 28
vs. NIU - won by 31

4 wins by an average on 29.5 pts. Now, I know those aren't good teams, but I don't ever remember UT having a stretch like this vs. D1 teams.

There are going to be a lot of dominant wins over NIU this season.
