Thanks. EMU79 ignores that close to a 1,000 readers have views this thread.
As a coach, I’m trying here to increase a fan’s knowledge of the game, and to suggest what EMU has to do to win. The game is rapidly changing and I want to see EMU change with it.
Since I help players improve their games, I’m interested in pointing out to fans what EMU players can do to improve their games.
EMU should win tomorrow night. With or without team scrimmages, eMU players are motivated and pumped to chalk up a win in their first MAC game. WMU players are nowhere near the caliber of EMU’s players.
EMU’s overtime stats made most of EMU’s non-conference stats misleading. Although we all love watching overtime games, hope EMU plays none in conference games, so EMU has consistent stats from game to game.
I’m trying to get a handle on what EMU’s real stats are in recent games, so we know which players should play more, which less, and what offenses worked and which didn’t, and what EMU has to do going forward to be successful in conference games.
EMU’s scoring has to increase. That’s dependent on EMU shooting a higher two pointing shooting percentage and getting to foul-line far more than they have. That will only happen if EMU plays a spreading offense and MScott, Noah, McBride, Golson, NScott, and Spottsville all play 30 minutes per game. Also, EMU’s steals and assists need to improve.
EMU is a very intriguing team with lots of potential. Glad we both see EMU as a top 4 MAC team. Regardless if EMU gets there, the goal is the NCAA tournament.
