Obviously, tonight's game will show whether any of them are actually injured. If they are injured then I apologize in advance (and then I wonder how three players all got hurt during Christmas break).

According to the post game writeup on the TribeAthletics website, Rice and Carroll were out with injuries and Covington was out with a non-Covid related illness.

Right, but did anyone send Zorch an email? 03-wink

Hmm, but there are two more recent articles on the Tribe site now. One is by the Tribe Scribe and it says this:

"Last week at Valparaiso, the Tribe was without guards Tyler Rice and Yuri Covington and forward Brandon Carroll."

It doesn't say anything about injuries to any players.

The other article is the generic pre-game write-up for the Hofstra game. It has these two statements:

"- With two of its top guards, both point guards, out at Valparaiso, freshman Julian Lewis stepped into the starting PG spot for the first time in his career."

"- Freshman Tyler Rice, who missed the Tribe's game at Valpo due to injury".

So only one mention of injury to only one player. And why no mention of what any of the injuries are? If you wanted to disguise discipline then of course you would remain mum and thus encourage rumors about injuries. Just my opinion, but if all three were actually injured then I think we would have heard what the injuries were, when they were sustained, and, as I said before, maybe someone should question how three players all got hurt during Christmas break with no actual games. Based on those points, I don't think my surmise is out of bounds --- and if they really are injured then the administration could head off theories like this by publicizing details. Why the secrecy?? I get the impression that it doesn't take all that much game planning to prepare to beat the Tribe --- just wait for us to commit our own self-inflicted wounds.

"W&M played shorthanded on Wednesday without the services of graduate student Brandon Carroll (injury) sophomore Yuri Covington (non-COVID related illness) and freshman Tyler Rice (injury)."

So this isn't enough for you? Jeez... get a life!

A million times this.

Outside of it being here it’s been said a million times that colleges aren’t obliged to share injury information like the pros.

Just ridiculous from Zorch.

RE: Game 14: Hofstra
Only 1 turnover in the last 8 minutes. Much better performance.

Need to get our shooting eye back (1 for last 6).

Well, well, well — 12 minutes in and all three “injured” guys have all logged significant minutes — and not a single knee brace or ankle wrap to be seen!

As I already pointed out, the first article right after the game said two guys were injured. Subsequent articles did not mention injuries except to Rice, without specifying what it was. Likely the player or a parent or maybe someone in the AD’s office or maybe a reporter who asked complained about the absence being categorized as an injury and so the later articles just said they were out.

Take off your green and gold beanie and put on a thinking cap and think critically.

A couple 3+ minutes dry spells for HU. Bodes well for us if that continues 2H

RE: Game 14: Hofstra
Hofstra ended the half on a 7 minute scoring drought (from the floor), with 4 TO's. Unfortunately we only got that 5-0 run out of those 7 minutes. Still, a lead is a lead.

The 22 turnover pace, however, is not a good sign.

We shot a significantly better % from the 3 than HU from the field.

This is shocking! Great effort. Guys are actually making shots. Both Jake and Mehkel providing a spark. Hope they can hang in there.

Amazing to be in it with so many turnovers. Good shooting overcoming some of it so far
