A couple of 3s by UVU and back to 78-76 with 3 seconds left.

Last second shot by ACU to win 80-76. That was a good game!

Idk if it’s always this bad but UVU has gotta find a way to fill up that gym. It was such a great atmosphere vs BYU. UVU has a good team and the support that was there, Christmas break or not, is inexcusable for a quality team like they got. A decent crowd would help in close games like this. Great win by ACU on the road.

ACU wins 80 to 76. The game had a lot of what has previously beeen tied up balls called as fouls on them but they still played a good defensive game.

I agree that a loud crowd on the part of UVU would have given them a big boost.

Looks like ACU's quickness played a factor in this game. ACU had 12 steals against UVU. And UVU committed 17 turnovers to just 6 committed by ACU. That difference in play made up for UVU's hot shooting.

That is our norm. We got outshot and outrebounded, but we won the turnover margin like usual.

Despite being undermanned, Tarleton is using a similar formula to ACU to beat Dixie State tonight.

I expect Ali Abdou Dibba from Chicago State to be in the running for at least Freshman Player of the Week. True freshman from Sweden.

First collegiate game, he has 21 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals. 6/9 from the field, 1/2 from the 3 point line, 8/11 free throws.

Even if Chicago State can't get everyone healthy, they appear to be an improved team with the semester change addition of Dibba.

Yes, he was very impressive tonight in his debut. Definitely seemed to be the best player on the CSU team. I predict that with Dibba, CSU will win at least 3-4 WAC games this year. Go Cougars!

Gerald Gillion is proving to be a good recruiter. Freshman Ali Abdou Dibba had an impressive debut on Thursday with 21 points. However, before his injury, 6'3 Freshman Bryce Johnson also had a few impressive games at Chicago State; with a scoring high of 24 points against Pacific. Also, another Chicago State Freshman who looks impressive is 6'6 Jahsean Corbett; who is currently averaging 11.3 ppg and 7.3 rpg. If Gillion sticks around at Chicago State a while, he should be able to turn the Cougars in to a formidable program.

Tarleton has indeed made some really good strides in hustle and defense. I do believe that they can still make some noise.

To me, it seems the (Purple) Texas teams out hustle teams. Often smaller in the lineup but beat you with quickness, defense and hustling to the ball. Tough matchups for everyone playing them.

SFA hasn't played since Dec. 18.

3 straight games cancelled.

Could be a little rusty for Jan. 6 against ACU.

I will still never take you guys lightly. You play us hard!

**Plus, Lamar should help you knock off some rust today...**

I am not taking Dixie St. for granted today either. I think our leadership is better than allowing this to be a letdown game, but DSU can still put up numbers. If our hustle continues and we disrupt them all game, we should be alright. Still, they won't be a given.

How many times is UVU going to shove the ball down tarletons throats before they stop trying to go inside? 8 blocked shots in just one half.... Aimaq alone has 4 this half.

I admire Tarleton's improved hustle but they are not there yet with all aspects of the game and Aimaq is a dominant player. ACU did a good job of reducing Aimaq's role and beat UVU even with different officiating than the Wildcats have seen in a few years.

I don't think any WAC teams are going to be able to power through Aimaq unless he has a really off night. A better approach is to get him away from the basket and hit outside as well as off or weak side on the inside. UVU is going to be trouble for a lot of teams.
