Holiday Bowl Cancelled

The ACC seems snakebitten this season. With UCLA bailing at the eleventh hour, that's four ACC teams to miss their bowl game, more than any other conference. The AAC has had three, with only Cincinnati still to play (and I doubt that one gets cancelled, though stranger things have happened).

ECU and NC State in the Holiday Military Bowl at Carter Finley Stadium on 1/6. Net gate and concessions get split 50/50. Holiday and Military bowl each pay 50% of original payout.

State gets a shot at the elusive 10-win season and ECU seniors get to play in a bowl. Loser gets a shot at revenge in 250 days.

Everybody wins.

I'd love to see that! I know State has said they are trying to work something out regarding putting a game together so there is hope. But didn't ECU declare that the season was over when there was talk about one of the other bowls trying to find a replacement? But maybe it was because of travel costs? Heck we could all chip in and car pool the team to Carter Finley!

Flew into San Diego today to see SIL and there were plenty of State fans flying out. Boy ya'll got done dirty and on top of that it's been raining the past 5 days here from what I was told.
