Feels like waiting to be Big 12'ed in about 10-15 years when the GOR has no more teeth. I just don't see enough strong leadership and enough runway to turn this thing around in time.
I think WVU will end up playing a lot of current ACC member schools - in whatever ACC/Big XII hybrid ends up happening. Too early to tell which or how many teams from each conference (or even what it's called).
One person's opinion:
The Big Ten adds 10 and the SEC adds 8. ESPN groups its product.
You have 9 AAU schools in the PAC and Notre Dame. Add those to the B1G.
The SEC adds FSU, North Carolina, Duke, Clemson, N.C. State, Virginia, Va Tech, and Kansas.
SEC:
Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M
Alabama, Louisiana State, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Vanderbilt
Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, South Carolina
Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina, N.C. State, Virginia, Virginia Tech
B1G:
California, California Los Angeles, Oregon, Southern Cal, Stanford, Washington
Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Utah
Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern, Ohio State, Wisconsin
Indiana, Maryland, Notre Dame, Penn State, Purdue, Rutgers
the leftover association:
Boston College, Cincinnati, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, West Virginia
Baylor, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Texas Christain
Central Florida, Georgia Tech, Memphis, Miami, South Florida, Tulane
Arizona State, Brigham Young, Oregon State, San Diego State, Texas Tech, Washington State
