Another reason why Kent is at the absolute bottom of my list…they drape curtains to block the entire second level on the one side for whatever ungodly reason that could possibly be for. Truly made me feel like I was watching a game at a D3 arena. That, along with the high school bleachers in their football stadium, I really question why Kent decides to compete in Division 1.

After seeing Kent St's high school gym yesterday, they are definitely at the bottom of the list.

For speaking the truth? Kent's gym is high school level. The outcome of the game has no effect on how I view their gym.

The steps made me laugh watching on TV. "Kent State" alternating with "Golden Flashes." every step in case you forgot

Also the cheerleaders yellow on the uniform didnt match the teams jerseys or the pom poms. Actually the blue on the wall didnt match anything really. Not the curtains or the court or the seats.

Given that Kent State has won six MAC tournament championships since the last time Toledo appeared in the NCAA tournament, perhaps Kent State isn't the school that needs to be investing here.

Would you rather sit with 700 people and watch your team win with medium investment, or sit with 5000 people and lose with maximum investment. Or at least not win titles... All MAC fans have that over us but BG.

We are entitled, pretentious, and feel like we deserve more based on everything outside of play on the court or field. Thats just being a Toledo fan.

2007-2013 were some fun years to be an Akron fan. Made it to 7 straight MAC championship games, winning 3. I'd take winning in Cleveland over winning some made up regular season attendance banner. Any fan is kidding themselves if they say they care more about attendance than seeing their team win. Besides it's not like Akron wasn't drawing well then. Fans will naturally come with success anyways.

I went to Ohio between 2009-2015. It was pretty exciting times for OU basketball as well during that stretch.

We always got hyped whenever we played Akron throughout those years. It seemed like every matchup had the potential to be an instant classic.

The Convo in Athens when full is as good as it gets. I went to OU during the Gary Trent era and the MAC overall was much stronger. 10,000 plus on a Saturday was the norm those days. Mid 90's MAC had several schools ranked top 25 in nation at different times. 1995 Had Ohio, Miami, Ball State and EMU each with strong at-large bid credentials. Miami and Ohio had an epic battle with Devin Davis vs Gary Trent. Both teams were ranked or getting votes in top 25 at the time along with EMU that year. 12000 fans that day at the Convo.

Millett Hall not very good, but you know how this goes... in cycles and a new bball arena is the next big athletic capital project for Miami. Then we leap toward the top.

I don't see Akron getting a new arena anytime soon. There was some talks about getting a taxpayer downtown arena 5 or so years ago where Akron basketball would be the main tenent, but it had so much backlash that it didn't even make it to the ballot.
