Unless they can start getting stops again.
Kent pissed this game away, a very winnable game they just blew it
Really? What MAC team was going to beat WYO? They went 3-0 against the MAC this year. I didn't 't see a MAC team this year with the defense to stop their running attack.
Kent State was up 17-7 and were driving for another score, but the drive stalled and we shanked a FG so the momentum swung. I liked our odds getting up 24-7 or even 20-7 and forcing a team like Wyoming to have to beat you in the air to get back in it.
Yea the 2 missed field goals really hurt. One was basically a chip shot.
The MAC somehow has to recruit (or coach) better on defense. Pretty much every team has an issue there. Also, I don't see the really good QBs in the MAC this year. Crum, Eleby, maybe? Lombardi made big plays for the conference champ but was inconsistent with completion % under 60 and quite a few picks.

Forgot to mention, the drive before that missed FG we had 1st and goal at the 3 and ended up getting a FG. Those 4-11 points left on the field by KSU hurt as they really seemed to be rolling and then just sputtered. An 11-18 point lead that early forces Wyoming to the air attack they don’t have. Self inflicted harm with the miscues and penalties and inability to keep their QB from running doomed them.

And vomiting. That was bad, too.

That was all a smokescreen by design, puke on the field and none of the defenders want to get near it and you run untouched into the endzone, but we even screwed the pooch on that.
