Bye for a while
I've decided to take a break from this website, because it seems like almost every thread gets dragged down into a COVID discussion and goes to hell. One side of the argument is much more to blame for this than the other. The appeal of this place for me is as a hangout to join other fans in rooting for the team. Arguments are fine too, but they should be about things like who should start, whether ALo is a net plus or minus, and are Lester's shorts too short. :) If I wanted COVID arguments, I can find them lots of other places.

I've also decided to stop watching the Tigers unless/until they get their act together regarding vaccinations. Regardless of how you feel about them, the protocols and rules are what they are. Failure to maximize compliance with them has greatly jeopardized this season. As others here have said, this is a complete failure of leadership by Penny. I had the highest of hopes for him as coach, but so far he's been a big disappointment (this isn't the only reason, but it's a big one).

I still hope for the maximum amount of success by the team, and wish everyone here well. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. :)

Lmao. A political/covid opinion post that starts by talking about how bad political/covid opinion posts on this board are.

RE: Bye for a while
Just ignore the Covid talk and enjoy the sports. I made up my mind on Covid a long time ago and have moved on. I don't bother expressing my opinion on it here or in real life and don't read the posts when they divert into it. I have no desire to convince anybody one way or the other or make them believe what I believe. I have added it to my list of things I don't offer opinions on even if asked. Politics, religion, money, Covid.

The science tells us that the most surefire way to not get covid is to cross the border illegally.

Yeah, I'm about done with this board, too... the amount of conspiracy theories being hawked at every turn, along with the constant trash-talking of the team (facts/observations are great, but most of what's said is senseless trash because people can't handle watching an imperfect team.) I've started using the ignore feature, but I am afraid there will be nothing left to read.
