Please……NO! If we keep at “leaving”, it implies that it’s not final and there’s a chance he will be back.

EPA, since this is a paywall, where did the majority of these recruits come from that helped these teams. Did the transfers come from FCS schools, G5 schools or other P5 schools?

I think its misleading. It should be titled: “best transfers by ratings”. It would be no surprise that top P5’s get the top transfers. But no one can tell me that any transfer helped his team more than Rocky helped NIU. As usual national media doesn’t look that deep.
When talking about a transfers impact you start and end at QB. How many transfer QBs won their conference championship? I don’t the answer but I do know of 1 for sure.

FIU, Louisiana, Tulsa, CMU, and other G5 players transferring to P5s.
LSU, USC, South Carolina, and other P5s loading up on mostly other P5 transfer players and top G5 players.
Basically, what we all expected. Very few P5s will transfer down and the rich schools will just load up on other P5 players or top G5 players that want to move up.

That is what I expected, that most P5 transfers come from other P5 schools.
Are there going to be top G5 players going to P5 schools? Yes. But I don't think it will be as frequent as you think.
Unless that top G5 player has assurances that he will receive a good majority of playing time if he transfers, he is going to stay put so the scouts can see his playing time at the G5 school he is currently at.

It seems pretty unlikely that a P5 school would promise that. But I think top G5 players will try to transfer anyway, hoping to get a bunch of playing time on a P5 team. It doesn't seem like a lot of players feel they will get enough exposure or chance at the NFL while at the G5 school. I don't know why.

I think a lot of times they have bad advice coming in telling them how amazing they are and that they should transfer and they'll have a better shot. Whether that advice comes from friends, family, or some other influence, maybe it works out, but I think the numbers say otherwise more often than not.

What’s better, 50 Carrie’s at NIU or 250 at SEMO? That’s up to the individual. It might now always be a case of looking for a better program but more so just a better situation.

Yea, that's probably a lot of it.
