Too bad that your green birds can't afford a dime to get a dozen.

True, RB is not an issue for this team. Our greatest needs are DEs, LBs, CBs, and WRs. Our offense is not the problem.

Agreed. Football is the problem at EMU.

If true, sad to see him go. He was a stud. I think we have three studs. Brown will only improve. Waylee got hurt but he was looking good. Would liked to have seen him against MAC teams, he is a homerun hitter. Always great to have depth as injuries happen.

Me either. It's okay to be competitive. Don't have to be a prick. We are better than that. Unless it's that ISU guy.

Yes, he has always been a good guy (and dare I say a closet NIU fan?). Please leave him alone, guys.

Ducker runs like an NFL back. Always takes gang tackling to get him down. You know what’s crazy? He is the exact same size as Waylee! When Jay puts on 15-20 lbs he’s going to Mike Alstott the defenders.

Sucks if true. Great young player. Never want to lose a guy like that regardless of RB depth.

RE: Ducker leaving
If Jay is leaving for reasons not related to on field opportunities I’m in full support. Go do your thing. If he is leaving because of a crowded backfield I think it’s a mistake. NIU was 4th in carries behind only the 3 military schools whom I’m not even sure have QBs on their roster. No way Waylee gets the starting job back. Ratdog is gone. So if the carries go 50% Ducker, 30% Brown, 20% Waylee it would give Jay 250+ carries. He is exactly what Hammock wants at RB - wear down defenses and make them feel defeated because you can’t stop the run.

Anyway, I’m hoping he stays. But if not best of luck to him. I’ll follow his success wherever he may be.

Seems surprising but in this day and age not so much. Someone gets in his ear visions of sugar plums dancing in his head. Understandable from that perspective. He has good vision adequate but not breakaway speed. Still going to sting a little if true. Where were NU and Iowa during his high school recruiting. 1900 yards and not a peep. Maybe he doesn't want to compete................

I don’t believe it. He would have to sit out a year if he transferred unless he went down a level. He already sat a year. Would he want to do that again?

It's the lure of the big P5 schools. This will forever be a problem for the G5 schools. All the P5s have to do is look at someone and they will come running.

No he doesn't. This is his first transfer (if true) so he can transfer and play immediately w/o sitting a year.

I mean, if it's Iowa...ok.

If it's Nebraska...c'mon, really?

Why wouldn't Waylee get the job back? Brown is impressive but so was Waylee. Ducker was solid too, but I didn't see him do anything that makes it obvious Waylee couldn't win his job back, he did it the first time.
