Thanks for sharing video.

I hope we add some impact players in February at these positions:

1) DT
2) LB
3) DE
4) RB

Would be interesting to find out where Coach Creighton’s daughter goes to college. If it’s EMU or UofM, then maybe he’s here for four more years.

I wouldn't read much into it (her choice). She could well go to a religious school.

I don't know, is she a senior?

One of his daughters is a senior.
Maybe Concordia Ann Arbor is an option?

That thought went through my mind.

1). Relationships, more than geography, matter. The LB from BC was an early recruit what 4 years ago. We were his first offer. He didn't forget.
Kline was known to Bullough from MSU. Of course, even MORE so was MBB where relationship out east led to a number of our impact recruits coming to EMU.

2). Hint that there could be a few more in February. Sounds like they may know who they are but for one reason or another they couldn't be released and signed now. I'm guessing more transfer. I'm going to make a GUESS. We
have two players transferring out (on scholarship). They may remain in school on scholarship and those scholarship given out as 22/23 scholarship in Feb.

3). Good discussion as we've discussed 2022 is a bad year for graduating h.s. seniors. They and players getting the 'bonus' year are competing for the same roster slot/scholarship. As I've mentioned, also
transfers have killed off most mid-year JUCO transfers. Why sign a JUCO LB when we can get a B1G LB?

4). Jeffery was very upfront that EMU wasn't going to give out more scholarships than they have in hand. That is the fair and honest thing to do. Don't want to rescind offers or run players off. Jeff must feel like a NFL personnel man.
This stuff has gotten extremely complicated in the last few years.

5). Related to #2 above, staffs, now more than ever, make these relationships with h.s. recruits. One never know if some of them will join the transfer portal. One never knows when a local kid who signs with MSU, etc. may decide to enter the portal and revisit previous recruiting relationships. (Bonus for Miggy: let's hope Bates gets homesick and transfers to EMU for a year before going to the NBA. Vegas would give us 100 : 1 odds of that happening so don't count on it).

Steve, you make a great point about Kline! In 2014 the Detroit Tigers hired a coach from the Houston Astros named Dave Clark. He recommended that that the Tigers sign a player that the Astros had just released as his exposure to him indicated he had potential. That player was JD Martinez! Bullough knows Kline, like Clark knew Martinez, if he were a slug, we simply don't recruit him. I like this recruit!

Steve, I love you man but please give up on Emoni Bates. Other than the fact that he resides in Ypsilanti, I personally see little affection for the kid. He wins a state championship and declares that he will not leave Lincoln HS. Until the next year of course. His father creates a "shadow high school" for him to display his talents. He commits to MSU and then ends up at Memphis. I thank him for winning a State Championship (not as big as deal as in the past) at Lincoln and highlighting my area, but personally I have little regard for him. He is a very good basketball player, but he acts like Ervin Johnson, which he clearly is NOT!

Jerry, Jerry, Jerry:

100 : 1 is odds that 'it ain't happening'. It was more tongue in cheek than a serious comment.

100 : 1 is EMU beating MSU in hoops (didn't happen).

Creighton served as offensive coordinator at Concordia (Ill.) from 1991-92. I think this is the River Forest IL campus. That at one time was a sister school for Concordia Ann Arbor which Ann Arbor was a two year college.
