It is obvious that youtube caved because of how quick they settled.

Epic Rage

Yeah wasn't amused.

Sling TV Orange package will get you through bowl season though, intro rate of like $20 for that month.

Will have to figure out options for next season.

I have been a sling customer for more than 2 years now. I only keep the ESPN package from the beginning of footballs season until the NCAA tournament starts. I think I get Disney+ (including ESPN+) free with my verizon phone. It works, and I'm only paying for ESPN 6 months out of the year.

Smart way to play it.

The Sports extra package on Sling Orange also lets you add ACCN, ESPNU and SECN.

Sling Orange also includes TBS and TNT, so if you keep it through the end of the NCAAT, you get most of those games. If you don't receive CBS over the air, add Paramount+ for the month to get those games also.

Bottom line, if you are primarily a college sports fan with an ACC or SEC favorite team, Sling Orange is an excellent value.

I agree. YouTube TV was absolutely the party that did the caving in.

Disney really is killing college football and the SEC is their willing accomplice.

The Mouse has invested so much into the method that the SEC is so great at football and designed a system where their crown jewel investment gets every benefit of doubt in the rankings and by the post season committee. In a system where ESPN just crowns an SEC team champion every year why bother following your local University?

In the short term, this is paying huge dividends for the SEC, but what happens when college football viewership nationwide shrivels up and it becomes a regional sport only popular in the South and pockets of the Midwest? The golden goose will be cooked.
