RE: NC BBQ
One thing about BBQ is I love trying all different styles. If you ever travel to Cuse for a game, try Dinosaur Bar-B-Que.

I looked at their menu - looks good. You don't find good beef brisket in NC.

RE: NC BBQ
Good grief, there is so much wrong on this thread!
1. How can anyone call themselves "Statefan" if they don't appreciate Eastern NC BBQ?
2. You don't find good beef brisket everywhere in NC because NC is the home of pork BBQ. Duh.
3. Memphis style BBQ is predominantly ribs. NC is predominantly chopped or pulled pork. Both have their place in this world - a place & time kind of thing. I don't go to Memphis to find the best chopped BBQ and I don't look for the best ribs in NC. It's simple.
4. For those looking for the best BBQ in NC, you need to come to the Raleigh area. Sam Jones BBQ in downtown Raleigh is hands-down the best! Sam learned at his daddy's spot, The Skylight Inn in Ayden, NC (one of the OG NC spots), and he learned well! Pro tip: get the sweet potato muffin for your bread! Prime Barbecue in Knightdale, NC has amazing food as well. Pitmaster Chris Prieto can do BBQ meat many ways, even brisket, and the smoked turkey breast is delicious too. Pro tip: get the mac & cheese with bacon as your side - you won't be disappointed.
