It's already over, CUSA will be a one-bid league again this year.

Either one team in the conference has to be super good, not win the auto-bid by losing in the championship game, and then slip in as an at-large, or the whole league has to be a whole lot better. Neither is happening this year.

I think UAB could still manage that run at this point. It's going to take beating WVU tomorrow and then suffering no more than 2 conference losses, to the right teams. The CPU numbers are strong enough right now to at least make it an outside possibility. That being said, I don't think the separation between UAB and the next 4-5 schools is enough for UAB to end up 16-2 in conference play.

Very excited for the future of CUSA basketball. NMSU being in the same conference puts more pressure on UTEP to be atleast as good. I have confidence coach Golding will get us there.

I'm just happy to be joining a conference that will be a legitimate challenge nearly every game. Essentially having a free ticket to the ncaa tournament every year is great but the asun clearly leaves us unpreparedShari's better competition.. Whoever comes out of this new look c-usa will be battle tested heading into March.

CUSA as a whole is 2-16 against Quad 1 opponents so far this season. The good news is that the only teams with an L in Quad 4 (so far) are leaving CUSA (Marshall, FAUx2, ODU, USMx2 and UTSA).

I hate the NET ranking but this is what the NCAA uses.

Net isn't perfect but I would argue it's better than rpi where SOS was 75% of the equation.

UofL and Ole Miss are Quad 3s? How in the world could the SEC and ACC allow this to build up to get their 10 bids in dance?

NET rankings thru 12.23. Now that the OOC portion of the schedules is pretty much over and we're moving into conference play, I don't think this exercise will be as useful moving forward (not saying this exercise wasn't perfect to start with but still better than nothing using available data).

Won’t happen, a loss to a CUSA team would diminish the valve of the AAC, the AAC will not take that chance, the gap between conferences is closer than ever now

What is the total record this season for AAC vs CUSA? I miss that thread we always had that tracked the VS Conferences.
