DeLauter was a scout and draft model favorite after a huge coming out party on the Cape last summer. The upside is enticing, but there are also shades of Kameron Misner and Brad Zimmer, so he makes sense for most clubs in this range of the draft.

Haven’t been following draft projections/predictions closely, but I’ll be very surprised if DeLauter doesn’t go in the 1st round. It would be even more surprising if DeLauter doesn’t sign regardless whatever round he’s selected.

Rocker's situation was different. He didn't sign because the Mets would not sign him. Undisclosed injury.

It was also recently disclosed that he had shoulder surgery shortly after he did not sign with the Mets.
