How well do they match up on both sides of the ball? Can UCF's Gus Malzahn out-coach Florida's interim coach Greg Knox?

Yes, I think so. Florida has the edge on the OL/DL, as most SEC teams do against everybody else. But I think UCF is better coached and has a lot of experience across the board.

We are a bad 8-4 club. Too many young players too many injuries. I see the game as a toss-up. Florida looked good against FSU.

Florida is the oddest SEC team this year. Just before that FSU game they were struggling vs a FCS team. FCS Samford scored 52 pts on this team. Anyone remember the tie score of 42-42 in the 3rd qtr in that game?

Tennessee is probably Florida best win. UCF's best win with Keene at QB is probably ECU.

I don't think UF will sleep on UCF like they did Samford. I wonder if any Gators hit the transfer portal before the game.

I doubt anyone with high NFL draft grades will play in this bowl.
Florida's Kaiir Elam is a potential 1st rounder.
Florida's Brenton Cox Jr and Zach Carter are projecting in the 2nd/3rd round.
They don't owe the interim coach anything, sign with an agent and its time to prep for the NFL draft.

Emory Jones is probably the bigger threat anyways. He's the leading rusher and passer.

I would feel a lot better if UCF had Kalia Davis back.

Richardson is the better runner, and EJ throws way too many picks. I’m more confident after this news.

UF's last 4 recruiting classes were ranked on average 10.6

UCF's last 4 recruiting classes were ranked on average 56.2

There are a lot more 4 and 5 star players on UF's roster but it will be up to the Offense, Defensive and Special Team units that will decide this outcome.

Both teams are bad so anything is possible lol. I would think UCF is better than FSU or Sanford this year. Depends on which UF team shows up and if UCF gets players back healthy for the game.

I'm not sure if we're really as good as our 8-4 record might make us look. Hopefully, I'm completely wrong, and we kick UF's hind ends. It would be our first win against one of the formerly "big three" if it happens.

Not sure about UCF but 0-7 Texas Southern just took down #20 Florida Gators in hoops tonight!

All true. And those two factors you mentioned in UCF’s favor tend to be more important in bowl games.

UCF ticket demand is so strong for this game...its approaching Peach Bowl levels!

Crap! I need to buy tickets but my party is still waiting on requesting off from work for the 23rd.

Gonna be quite the atmosphere. Game is completely sold out. Two teams from 2 hours away who are playing a mediocre game 2 days before Christmas managed to sell out a crappy bowl game. Pretty impressive.

Bowl Attendance Record: 28,987 (2019 UCF/Marshall)
Stadium Attendance Record: 74,512 (2017 CFP National Championship)

That means we broke the bowl record already. I doubt we will beat the Stadium Attendance Record.

Florida beat usf earlier this season with reported attendance 66,646.

So its no surprise that UCF/UF sold 65k.

Looks like announced attendance didn't hit sellout for uwcf-UF. We just sold out a game in their home stadium against the same opponent.
