How about dropping “Chicago’s” and “MAC” and let it read:

NIU: Illinois’ Best Football Team.

Take a marketing shot at them all. Don’t limit us to Chicago or a conference. We rule the state….

So do EXACTLY what the UI did that made so many on this board so angry? I am NOT a fan of self proclamation regarding anything. As an example, UCF wasn’t national champions no matter how much they proclaimed it.

Or simply signs about NIU and its football achievements. Put how many wins we have over the last 20 years and how we have won 5 mac titles in last 11 years.

We have no need to try to belittle anyone because our achievements speak for themselves.

Simply put a huge NIU logo on there with some of the players celebrating the 2021 MAC championship, our records of success, Heisman finalists (Turner, Wolfe, and Lynch), and how to order NIU tickets.

Leshon Johnson was a Heisman finalist also. I remember him being introduced by Bob Hope on Bob’s annual show featuring all Heisman finalists.

How about getting the makers of Viagra to sponsor a "Hard Way" advertising campaign?

It could be done subtly but to to the point.

Quick videos of tough runs and catches by NIU players interspersed with a guy opening a pill bottle.

I've seen worse advertisements.
