Exclamation Open Thread - Big Ten Championship Game
I don't know if there's much point of a thread for one game but might as well.

RE: Open Thread - Big Ten Championship Game
Even though it's just Michigan playing, of course it deserves a thread. Let's celebrate a championship game for this historic conference and cheer on the Hawkeyes! I actually picked the Wolverines to win. I do think it will be a fun game tonight!

RE: Open Thread - Big Ten Championship Game
While waiting for the Big Ten Championship Game, how about the earlier game's impact on the Big Ten?

More losses/upsets help the Big Ten just in case Michigan loses and/or gives Ohio State a tiny bit of hope to sneak in. Of course the upset the Big Ten doesn't want is Alabama winning. It's one thing to beat Georgia in the Playoff but beat Georgia AND Alabama back to back weeks? Might as well just hand the SEC another title.

RE: Open Thread - Big Ten Championship Game
Two SEC teams in the Playoff again, ughh.

Last year the Big Ten Championship Game was at noon rather than prime time. I liked it better. The ratings were lower (and lowest since 2014) but it was COVID-19 and Northwestern, one of the Big 10's smallest, if not the smallest, fanbases, was playing. This year proved that the teams matter more than the time slot. The most watched game of the season (Ohio State-Michigan), aired at noon. The second most watched Big Ten game and third overall (Michigan-Michigan State) also aired at noon. FOX's Big Noon Saturday was the most watched regular college football window of the season, beating out both the SEC on CBS and SNF on ABC. Ohio State and Michigan are used to noon games all year, maybe the Big Ten should just make the noon for the championship permanent as well.

RE: Open Thread - Big Ten Championship Game
Congratulations to those filthy weasels up North, commonly known as Wolverines. All joking aside, it has been a fine year for TTUN.

I would seed them as...
1. Alabama
2. Michigan
3. Cincinnati
4. Georgia

The Bulldogs have left a really bad taste in my mouth by losing that badly this late in the season. Hell, if Oklahoma State could have won, they'd been the deserving #4 rather than Georgia. Notre Dame? Not sure?
