I’m someone who likes to hike but I absolutely hated hiking the Grand Canyon. You gotta love hiking to do what you did.

It was a bucket list thing. I am glad I did it but won’t do it again, that last 1.5 mile out of the canyon was rough.

It very nearly broke me this summer.
My daughter and I planned one day down, one day back up, but camped again halfway up - main driver was thunderstorms predicted at the rim, but that stop was a top-5 or top-10 life decision.
"So, Dad, did you overestimate yourself, or underestimate the Canyon?"
"A little of both, sweetie."

Lots of lessons learned here.

Getting back on topic, there is probably a kernel of good advice in there for incoming 4-8 teams who’ve (mostly) broken free of the bottom 10 cellar who think regarding play in the AAC : “oh yeah, we got this”

Really enjoy Ryan McGee’s fine work every week whether we still get mentioned or not…

I love how fans here are actively campaigning that they should have had USF's spot.

The bottom 10 thing for USF is more an indictment that they should be doing better. Kind of like how low is this year comparatively speaking. Thus they beat out Temple et al because this is really bad for them compared to their past.

LOL. We stunk this year. But who gives a crap, nobody will care about this list next year.

It happens. I remember Navy being 0-10 in 2001. Better programs dig in an fix things and get better, but everyone has down stretches (Alabama was 3-8 in 2000 for instance, ND was 4-8 in 2016).

Correct which is why this list is stupid and meaningless after this year. But of course we know the reason for it to be posted here.

Specifically 3-8 with a loss to UCF at Bryant-Denny.

Jack "Cowboy" Kelly of the New York World ... Here in Orlando people are confused as to why South Florida is included in these rankings even though they just barely lost the War on I-4 to Central Florida in a wild finish. Also, we are still confused as to why South Florida calls itself South Florida because they are actually in Tampa which, like myself and Central Florida, is located here in central Florida.

Well, Cowboy, the committee agreed that it was imperative that the American Athletic Conference of American Athletics be represented in these rankings and the race for that slot came down to a pair of 2-10 AACAA teams, USF and Tulane, and USF beat Tulane head-to-head just two weekends ago. As to the geography question ... wait ... Cowboy Kelly of the New York World, you are based in Orlando? Are you the kid from "Newsies"?

UNCC (Charlotte) belongs there. No wins against any team with a winning record and 6th place in their division in the hapless CUSA.
