Everyone’s favorite topic: Expansion rumors
The B1G has said that if they expand they will only be looking at AAU schools. At quick look, you can see Iowa St and Kansas are the only two in a current “P5” conference that would go, and they for sure would. Buffalo is also a AAU school, but I don’t see the B1G adding from the MAC.

So if the B1G took those 2 from the Big 12, they would be back to 10(I think), Memphis and SMU head to the Big 12 as expected and we should be done for awhile.

When were the B1G's comments on that? Were they months ago or recently?

It was a current article, it could have been old information.

Could be wrong but I think that’s actually in the B1G bylaws

August is forever ago. The Big 12 is in a good situation at the moment. Future B12 has 1/5 of the AP top 25. The UT/OU secret exit might have solidified the hateful 8's commitment to one another.

They wouldn't turn down an offer from the big ten. Their media deal might not be as much as the SEC but it's a while lot more than the big 12, especially with OU and Texas gone.

But even as AAU schools does Iowa State and Kansas provide anything the B1G wants? Maryland and Rutgers helped get the DC/Baltimore/NY/NJ area. Who the hell cares about the 35th most populated state of Kansas and the B1G already has Iowa.
