Meh...next year the Louisiana Cupboard isn't nearly as full as it has been the past few years. Career wise, it's a good time to leave. He did well at ULL, but it feels like he knows next year will keep him at ULL for much longer.

LSU A&M is going to seriously regret their snooty attitude toward hiring a coach from such an "inferior" school as UL when Florida is contending for the SEC championship in 2 or 3 years. Unless they wise up and hire Aranda, which should be their top target anyway.

Aranda got a new deal at Baylor. Apparently he isn't going anywhere. They might be reduced to taking the guy from Iowa State. I love it, LSUAM just assumed coaches were going to be beating their door down. LOL! Its a train wreck over there.

We still have plenty of talent coming back. Basically the entire offense except for Levi and Max Mitchell will be returning. We will lose more on defense than offense but we rotate in a lot of guys on defense, so it’s not like the 2nd string is a bunch of bums. Unless we lose a bunch of guys to the portal, any decent hire will have us bowl eligible next year. I’d say 7-9 win range, and depending on if the west stays weak, probably competing for the division again next year.

Some of those guys can’t be replaced. Some will be replaced by better players.

Yeah, forgot about Vallot on offense. Marks hasn’t been that great this year, I think you see improvement with his replacement, or at least no significant drop off. And I know your thoughts on Levi and who sits behind him. The rest of the guys listed on offense only play sparingly, or in the case of the WRs, lots of depth at that position.

Like I said, those names on defense are a much bigger loss. But the cupboard is far from bare!

I hope Louisiana makes a good hire. They need to stay strong and we need to get back.
