RE: Official Game Thread: Kennesaw State
I got similar vibes when Patrick Good did his thing a couple of years ago. I just shook my head in disbelief as tonight's game and that one ended. A storybook finish but more on the line in this one. What else can you say? These are the glory days of ETSU football. Nobody will give us a shot next week, but with this group, you just never know.

ENJOY THIS.

I feel as if nobody outside of the ETSU fan base gave us a shot this week. Even Vegas had KSU favored in this game. We've been disrespected most of the season. The blow out win against Vanderbilt continues to get downplayed by opposing fan bases. I wouldn't be surprised if the delusional Samford fans still think we are a bad team.

I'm pumped we get a shot at NDSU in Fargo, it's the biggest stage in all of FCS.

What an outstanding game. Quay was a monster today. Adkins was money on the final drive. Once they got the onside kick, I knew there was a chance, and they delivered beyond my expectations.

This is the best ETSU team in at least 50 years. It's hard to put them above 1969 because that team didn't lose a game, but the talent, experience, and coaching all lined up this year for this program to show what it's really capable of doing at this level. I do not expect us to win next week. I frankly don't expect it to be all that close; they just obliterated Southern Illinois without their best (and maybe also their second best) offensive player. But a loss next week doesn't impact my perspective on this team at all.

Hats off to Randy. This is a watershed moment in the history of ETSU football, and one that will be impossible to forget.

Good on ya, ETSU! The Buc's, right? Thanks for beating those posers from Kenny St..

Hopefully we'll see a good showing for the game up here. Your fans will be most welcomed.

Weather forecast isn't too bad. Mid 30's. Great tailgating temps.

Pro tip. Look for the "Magic Bus" in the tailgate. Best crew there is. They'll look after you.

Welcome to the forum, bison. What some of our fans likely don't realize is that the game itself will be indoors in the Fargodome, unlike when we had to play in the cold at Montana. We have our own indoor stadium here (12,000+), but play in a new outdoor stadium. Long story.............

The highlights of the game were on ESPN College Football Final. My gosh, it was an incredible win.

South Carolina had to come from behind at South Carolina to beat Vandy by one point with less than a minute to go. That blowout by the Bucs in Nashville IS BEING DOWN PLAYED by our opponents.

Bet we’ll practice in the Dome all week? I know, seeding — but both teams are 11-1 and NDSU hosts. Of course, that’ll have 20,000 packed into their joint as opposed to some distant neutral spot with maybe 3,000 present. Does the NCAA still pay the expenses of the FCS traveling teams? GO BUCS.

It’s interesting, NDSU only had 12,500 at their playoff game yesterday. I had heard some of their fans complaining about the lack of attendance. I’d guess it’ll be higher for our game, but may not be a sell out. Playoff games are nothing new to them I guess.

Randy needs
to clear the Dome and Practice indoors all week. Tyler and the receivers need to gain perspective of playing indoors. Depth perception with a close backgound is different than our beautiful montains. Go Bucs!

All sport is drama.

I don't remember when I first heard that or who said it, but I've always thought it has the ring of truth. Nothing tops being in a stadium full of like-minded fans, exuberantly cheering your team to a "dramatic," almost unbelievable, victory.

If you've been to a "few" ETSU home games, then I've been to a "few" plus. And, I've never seen back-to-back games to compare to the last two.

NDSU: What’s their secret, 16 national titles, 8 at DII and 8 at FCS? They’re on their 4th head coach in last 20 years and just keep on rolling. I know their roster is full of out-of-state players, a number from Florida and California. But, with the coaching turnover, like App State for example, what’s their secret?

What gets me how do you get a kid from California or Florida to go to N Dakota? Just took a trip to SD. Beautiful area but winters damn.

No doubt the NFL success their players have had is a draw. We need that.

They need to “move up” — to the MAC maybe if their fans are bored with winning these lesser national championships.

The FG kicker very much needs to practice indoors. Kicking on a flat surface is very different from kicking on a crowned field.

Isn’t the Dome projected as likely the premiere indoor football practice facility in all of FCS football - maybe all of college football?
