Cincy will be fine and still make the dance this year, these games happen and you never know Monmouth might have a great year overall. Every team trips up from time to time, as a ECU fan we are the ones who do it to you guys once a year.

the shootign could have been overcome... the issue is that cincy bigs are soft and not very physical...you were outrebounded by a mid major..
this is 2 straight games uc gave up a crucial offensive rebound with less than 20 to play
You can’t possibly have watched the game today and thought rebounding was the main issue. It was 38-37 with us having taken 8 more shots and 12 more 3s. Poor shot selection, not enough execution to get better shots, sure. And I’m not saying at all the rebounding was good, but it was a secondary issue. 13-7 on offensive rebounds. Not at all like the Arkansas game.
i watched the entire game.. and 100% put this loss on rebounding, considering the oppononent at the size of UC
if you had these rebounding stats vs houston or memphis, id be right there with you.. but you played monmouth
you literally gave up a crucial offensive rebound to end the game...
3pt shooting was terrible, but that was never going to be a strong suit for uc
The “crucial” offensive rebound was inconsequential. We literally got the ball back right after on a turnover. Loss was on a lack of capability of creating good shots and missing the ones we got, both known flaws of this team coming in. It’s not a great offensive team.
Anyone would be disappointed by a home Q4 loss but my forecast before the year was NIT level which seems about right. Was nice to daydream a bit after the good performances in KC, but this is still a flawed team. I’m hopeful we improve throughout the year and compete well in the league.

" inconsequential. We literally got the ball back right after on a turnover."
you realize losing 20secs when the clock is at 37secs is extremely consequential when you are down 2 points ...
if you made rebounded and scored quickly you'd have been playing for the win and not the tie...
you just stated my biggest point, that shooting was never going to be a strong suit for cincy but even you were expecting NIT... nit still require 20+ win teams and likely top 4 finish in the conference...i hope you werent expecting uc shooting to carry you there??
this is why the loss is on the rebounding and post physicallity... that was cincys expected strength coming in...on paper ucis huge in the post and the "prowess" to be extremely physical around the rim..
in your last 2 games cincy was outworked in the paint..neither team were particularly big .. this was ucs expected strength

Delaware is literally daring temple to shoot...
they are leaving temple guards WIDE OPEN on the 3pt line (except battel) and it is actually working

delaware 35, temple 31 at halftime ...
if temple can knock down some open looks from 3, by anyone not named battle temple likely comfortably wins

temple gets huge tech
up 2 with .. with 28secs... temple was getting fouled, Williams lightly pushed back after getting fouled.. after the foul gets a tech
temple will get free throws, then delaware will get free throws and get ball

Very happy that the refs preferred Temple to Delaware. Delaware got absolutely hosed.
The inbounds went off of Battle. Was pretty clear. And then Williams dragged his foot when he is not allowed to move. Refs missed that, too.

What are the chances that SMU fires Jank mid year ... Just bite the bullet and get ahead of the coaching carousel.

That's a big win for UNT. Drake is a potential NCAA team and probable MVC champion.
