RE: Miami Game
Question, did anyone understand what was going after a kickoff in the second half where the refs held us from snapping it all the way until the play clock ran out then gave us a delay of game? Normally when they hold the snap it's because the offense subbed and they want to give the defense time to sub. But this was the first play after a kickoff so that wouldn't make much sense.

RE: Miami Game
It's really incredible that we are where we are. In MAC play our defense is dead last in the conference points and yards allowed. We're also dead last in conference in yards per punt and yards per kickoff. Our offense has been good enough to overcome the other two phases. Not to mention we have the second highest penalty yards per game in the conference. A lot of things that normally don't add up to winning, but we are.

This is definitely a miracle team. I was thinking about how bad the defensive numbers are considering the average starting point.

One stat can offset all the defensive woes. It did in 2012 and again this year. #1 in the nation in turnover margin. That'll do it.

Yup, that and having the best offense, by far, in the conference. It's still bizarre, though.

RE: Miami Game
The poor defensive stats are amplified by the fact that the offense is on the field so short of a time over the course of a game. The defense is better than it’s numbers. Not great, but not nearly as bad as the stats make it seem.

Right. The offense often scores in roughly the same amount of time it takes most teams to go 3 and out.

Hey guys... Kent won yesterday and is heading to the conference title game. It wasn't a dream it actually happened.

LOL. Since they were the pre-season pick to win the division, it's hardly a miracle. I know what you mean, though.
