Remember when we started the football feasibility study they said it was FBS or nothing. That FCS was just going to be a pit stop. Well now that we're starting football, the wac doesn't look like its going to be FBS, and C-USA needing a lot of teams. It seems pretty clear we're gunning for the C-USA right?

After what just happened with NMSU and SHSU, yeah, you might be right about what our Prez and AD are thinking. But-

1. Would C-USA even be interested unless the FB team is already up, running, and looking credible at the FCS level; *and* our existing teams have consistently winning records? I suspect even our old WAC conference mates would be picky about voting us in unless we offer a lot more than what we've got now.

2. So it's several years off at least and by that time who knows what football conferences will look like.

3. Not that it matters what I think but I'd rather we stay in the WAC and focus on getting to where we win some championships in an average year. I'd like to be consistently competitive with SFA and GCU in the major sports, have more tournament banners hanging, have the average student at least be aware when a big game is happening, etc.

First football needs to get off the ground first in 2025 before even thinking anything else.
