RE: Playoff seeding/thoughts
As expected Kennesaw is cruising through their bye week game against D3 equivalent Davidson 41-14 at the half. Davidson has broken 54 and 61 yard touchdown runs and has 179 rushing yards. 8.1 yards per attempt. If that’s the Kennesaw defense that shows up next week Quay and Jacob will set some records.

This is what I have tried to convey on this board. SoCon, unfortunately, has fallen behind. Institutions like NDSU, JMU and others are non P5 FBS schools in FCS disguise. All they have to do is add 22 scholarships. They have the facilities and the support already in place.

What have you been trying to convey? No matter how much we would like to be playing football in the American Athletic Conference, the Sun Belt Conference, etc., we simply don’t have the facilities, the fan base, and most importantly — THE MONEY to support a consistently winning program there. Division I basketball is another animal, and even there we do not have the MONEY to keep the Steve Forbes types for more than four or five years at a time. Facts are stubborn things. ETSU athletics does a hell of a job with the resources available, and the university does an even more impressive job academically with the resources available.

RE: Playoff seeding/thoughts
You are almost completely right. ETSU did not keep up with their peers. So when I read this board and see people complaining about our schedules in basketball and football, see todays comments on playing a D2 opponent with poor fan support, that's not going to change unless ETSU commits to something better. Either accept what ETSU is today or find a way to move forward. It's not all about the money as you constantly harp on. If it was, many of our peers couldn't have improved their programs.[/align]

We as alumni need to step up. We do a poor job in my opinion in supporting our university.
