Exclamation Open Thread - CFB - 11/20
This week the game of the week is Michigan State at Ohio State. The Buckeyes are undefeated in the Big Ten but Sparty can tie for the Big Ten East and own the tiebreak over OSU (they already have it over Michigan). If Michigan State wins, they would only have to beat Penn State at home to win the Big Ten East. Should Ohio State and Michigan win, the winner of Ohio State/Michigan wins the Big Ten East. Michigan is in the rare position of having to root for Ohio State! They have to beat Maryland at Maryland but I'd expect them to do it.

Over in the West, Wisconsin and Iowa lead. Wisconsin hosts Nebraska who played both Michigan schools and Oklahoma close but the Badgers have been on a roll. Iowa hosts Illinois. Wisconsin controls its destiny. Minnesota and Purdue are a game behind. Both are on the road but should be favored (Minnesota at Indiana and Purdue at Northwestern, being played at Wrigley Field).

Finally, Penn State hosts Rutgers. If Rutgers wins, they will be bowl eligible for the first time since 2014. If not, they host Maryland next week. Assuming Maryland loses to Michigan and Rutgers to Penn State, next week's winner goes to a bowl. Maryland last went to a bowl in 2016.

CJ Stroud: 14/15, 222 yds, 3 TD.
Still 2:30 left in the 1st quarter.

I want to see what kind of heart this Spartans team has. Down 28 after a disastrous start, still a lot of time to do some positive things.

Michigan State has arguably the best RB in the country so they panic already and abandon the run game.

Ohio State is awesome. Yeah I'll say it.

There is no way Alabama could beat this Ohio State team this year. Ohio State/Georgia if it happens will be a great game, CJ Stroud vs. the Georgia defense.

What happened to PSU Sean Clifford?

Clifford had the flu among lingering injuries.

That kid can't catch a break this year.

His backup played well (Rutgers may have been a factor in that). This brings up the question why he didn't come in during the Iowa (or Illinois) game instead of the QB who averaged 3 yards per throw.
