UAb did it to themselves, and so is FIU. No support, just letting it rot from the inside. The only difference is FIU has hired what should be qualified coaches, UAb was blocked from hiring Jimbo Fisher.

The same people who blocked UAB from hiring Fisher were behind their football being shutdown.

It will interesting to see who FIU hires this time around. That answer could tell us if they are working towards a shut down or still making a go at it.

They'll have to prove to any candidates that none of this is true, or put it in the contract how often each of these will be addressed. It will scare off a lot of candidates.

Maybe they can get Liberty to financially prop them up and buy them some new shoulder pads.

Depends on whether you're defining leadership at the coaching level or at the administration level.. I'd rather be poorly coached than to be poorly administered. I'm sure we've all complained about our administration before, but as far as I know they at least don't actively try to burn the place to the ground like FIU looks to be doing.

How are you not understanding I’m only referring to shutting down the football program, not why or how it was shut down.

I did miss type, UAb did NOT do it to themselves. However, had UA **** that program down a year earlier, no one would have cared. But Clark had them winning when they pulled the plug.

These accusations, if true, are absolutely crazy. I feel bad for the players and the die-hard FIU supporters. Also, kinda trasy of Butch Davis to go all nuclear option with airing FIU's dirty laundry.

Even with 9 year old uniforms and a press hut for visiting media the AAC will probably add them because 'market'.:)
